Early Childhood (Birth – Preschool)

Welcome to Kidz Acres where our mission is to nurture the faith of children and teach them to love God with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength.

Sonshine Bay This is the nursery area at Southern Acres. The nursery cares for newborns until they turn two. We have a wonderful group of workers who provide love and care to these precious little ones. Our goal is to continue to let the Son shine in all of their little lives.

Joy Junction The preschool area features a hands-on curriculum that allows children to learn Bible stories in an interactive way. This approach creates a fun learning environment for children while at the same time reinforcing the point of the lessons in different ways. We also have a wonderful Praise and Worship room called "Joy Junction Depot.”

Kidz Acres is provided for what ages?
Children from birth - 5th grade.

Where do I go?
If this is your first visit, or if your child is not enrolled in a class, go with your child to the Kidz Acres Welcome Center and greeters there will be happy to assist you. The Kidz Acres Welcome Center is located in the main hallway of the education wing. Please let the room leaders know if your child is allergic to any type of food or drink. Please stop by the Welcome Center on your next two visits for a name/security tag.

What if my child gets ill?
If you have a pager, it will vibrate and you need to report to the nursery suite. If you have a number, it will be displayed on the monitor in the auditorium. If you are in a Life Group, someone will come and get you.

What type of security is available for my child?
Pagers are provided for all children in the nursery suite; a name tag/security card is used for 2 year olds - 5th grade. When checking your child in the rooms with the name tag system, you will receive a security card that matches the number on your child’s name tag. You must have that security card in order for your child to be released to you; if you give permission for someone else to pick up your child, they must present the security card. If you misplace the card or pager, you must check at the Kidz Acres Welcome Center with the Early Childhood Director before your child can be released. There will be no exceptions.
