The Junior High Ministry exists to connect lost, seeking, and maturing students with their Creator God and to create an atmosphere in the ministry that promotes the importance of spiritual growth as a family concept. Students in this area are Junior High teens and pre-teens in 6th to 8th grade, 11 – 13 years old.

Our programming includes both large and small group meetings. On Sunday evenings we have big group worship, small groups accountability gatherings, fellowship, food, and fun all in one evening! Every Sunday night we meet together from 6:00-8:15 p.m. in the youth room upstairs for a program called Oasis. No matter where your student is in their walk with Christ, they will find something that feeds them on Sunday nights.

We also have a Sunday morning LifeGroup gathering that meets from 9:30-10:30 a.m. This time is dedicated to how we as Christians can work out and own our faith as we live in a fallen world. After our LifeGroup we go together to the Sanctuary for a main worship service from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

We promote family by challenging our students to participate in our weekday Life Groups with their families. These Life Groups are multigenerational gatherings in homes and in our church building that promote growth, discipleship, and the releasing of God’s power in our lives. We do this by “doing life together,” memorizing Scripture, using adults and older teens as role models/teachers and using lessons specifically designed for our students and their brothers/sisters/friends.

Is Rob really bald?
No! Actually he looks bald because he has pulled his hair out working with teens for the past five years. However, he believes that losing one’s hair is worth it if he gets to hang out with awesome Junior High Students every week.

Do I have to be a Christian to do things with the youth group?
Nope. We just want to hang out with you and have fun getting to know you. We want to introduce you to this man who will change your life in a great way – His name is Jesus. Everything else is up to you; it’s completely your decision. We just want to get to know you and tell you about life.

What if I do not know anyone in the youth group?
Well, you know me, a little anyway. I am Rob and I would love to meet and hang out with you. I don’t care if you are shy or outgoing, we have all been where you are right now. Don’t let that stop you from coming to hang out with us. We will learn about you, how you are wired and where you go to school. Then we will find a veteran of the youth group and introduce you to them. You might not know us, but we are already your friends.

Oasis Worship and Fellowship: Sunday evenings 6:00-7:00 p.m. with small group meetings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
