The term “worship” is derived from the word “worth.” And when you look objectively at your life, ask yourself, “What is it that I give the most worth to?” Is it your job, your family, a hobby or an addiction?

Whatever the thing is that consumes us the most is the thing that we worship.

We believe that, if a person calls themselves a follower of Jesus, then that means He is to take priority in our lives. Whatever we think or do should be done with pleasing and glorifying Him as our ultimate goal. That is a lifestyle of worship.

One Bible teacher put it this way, “We don’t go to church to worship, we go worshipping to church.” When you come to Southern Acres to worship, you experience an environment where people understand they are not the spectator – God is – and we are collectively honoring and praising His name through worship.

We have developed a few core “no” values that you can expect at Southern Acres. You will hear no irrelevant messages. No perfect people are allowed. No masks are to be worn. No one stands alone … and there is no part-time worship.
