Our mission in the Elementary Ministry of Southern Acres Christian Church is to nurture the faith of children and teach them to love God with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength. We deeply desire that children come to know and love God and others within a loving, welcoming Christian community. Those who serve in the Elementary Ministry seek to foster life-changing encounters with Jesus in a safe, fun environment, while partnering with families to help build a solid spiritual foundation.
Sunday morning Elementary Life Groups meet at 9:30 a.m., where children discover the Bible and develop friendships through fun, hands-on activities. At 11:00, kids experience high-energy, meaningful large group worship, dynamic teaching, and more. Our Kindergarten through 2nd graders do this in H.I.S. Kid’s Club – “Heroes in Service for God,” while 3rd – 5th graders are members of Z town – “zealous for God”. Children explore key Bible stories each week, which walk them through the entire Bible every year.
Weekday Life Groups provide opportunity for children and families to grow together through fellowship and worship with people of all ages. Monthly Kidz Acres events also provide fun opportunities for children to connect with God, family, friends, and their community.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I go if I am a visitor to Kidz Acres?
On your first visit to Kidz Acres, please check in at the Children’s Welcome Center where you will receive a temporary name tag/security card. From there, children will be assisted in locating their room.
When checking your child in the room, you will receive a security card that matches the number on your child’s name tag. You must have that security card in order for your child to be released to you; if you give permission for someone else to pick up your child, they must present the security card. If you misplace the card, you must check at the Kidz Acres Welcome Center with the Elementary Minister before your child can be released. There will be no exceptions.
